Island Mountain Arts Concerts & Exhibits

Island Mountain Arts has been providing artistic experiences for artists of all ages since 1977.

Island Mountain Arts provides year-round workshops, seminars, exhibitions, concerts, coffee houses and other performances in Wells, BC, and is also home to a gallery and gift shop.

Island Mountain Arts has a number of unique and stimulating performances and courses already planned for 2009, including courses in creative writing, beginning watercolour, drawing, singing, children's harp and more.

Royal Canadian Legion

The Royal Canadian Legion is the only service group in our community. The Legion has 2 pool tables and every Friday at 6:00 p.m. there is a meal and a meat draw. Winter hours are from 4 p.m. to at least 8 p.m. and Summer hours are from 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Be sure to support our Legion that does good deeds for our community.

The Sunset Theatre

Open July and August

The Sunset Theatre is now open for July and August. Enjoy this newly renovated historic theatre, circa 1934, by attending one of the many events during the summer months.
The Sunset Theatre features a wide array of entertainment possibilities, with everything from live theatre and film to excellent live music.

Theatre Royal Family Entertainment

The Theatre Royal, Barkerville is the world famous 1869 theatre, with a cast that performs every day from May until September 27.

In July and August they offer 2 different shows a day, at 1 and 4 p.m. with a the popular British Music Hall Revue on Saturday and Sunday evening at 7 p.m.

The Theatre Royal has four shows for your enjoyment this year:
The performances are full of music, comedy, intrigue and adventure, all with historical themes revolving around the gold rush in Barkerville.

Wells Hotel Pub

The Wells Hotel Pub offers weekend entertainment by local musicians, nightly drink specials, billiard and a variety of food from our pub menu. The pub is open from 5:00 p.m. to closing.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday (summer) hours are from 12:00 p.m. to closing.
